SUMMARY:Virginia Opera in area schools
DESCRIPTION:Enthusiastic response from teachers and students has resulted in the expansion of ArtLIVE!’s support of Virginia Opera in schools throughout the region. Funding from our members\, grants\, and the Virginia Commission for the Arts allows ArtLIVE! to present performances from Virginia Opera for children in grades K-5. Last year\, the ArtLIVE!-sponsored Virginia Opera entertained\, educated and inspired more than 6\,200 students in 13 schools in\n the greater Fredericksburg region.
